Description
The LE Series is not a benchtop instrument — it is a compact execution module engineered to live inside an automation cabinet or mount directly on a robotic cell. Where LY, LD, LF, LG, and LM units are standalone workstations with front panels and operator interfaces, the LE is the component that enables fully unmanned, cabinet-integrated leak testing on high-speed assembly lines.
How It Works
The LE module accepts test commands from a host PLC or industrial PC via digital I/O, RS-232/485, Ethernet, or Fieldbus. The host sends a "start test" signal; the LE executes the full charge → stabilize → measure → exhaust cycle autonomously; and returns OK/NG output and per-unit pressure data to the host MES or SCADA system. No operator interaction is required or expected at the LE module itself — it has no front panel, no display, and no manual controls.

Typical Applications
- Fully unmanned cabinet leak test stations: The LE mounts inside an electrical cabinet alongside the PLC — the entire station operates without any operator at the test position
- Robotic assembly cells: Robot arm loads component, triggers LE test cycle via PLC signal, reads OK/NG, and routes the part — no human touchpoint in the test step
- Slide-table multi-station lines: Space-constrained automation with multiple test nests — LE's 99 × 180 × 200 mm footprint fits where no conventional benchtop instrument can
- Explosion-proof environments: Paint booths, chemical processing lines, or battery formation areas where ATEX certification is required — standard benchtop instruments are excluded
- OEM equipment integration: Machine builders who incorporate leak testing as one step in a multi-function automated machine
Size Comparison
The LE Series occupies 99 × 180 × 200 mm — approximately 40% of the volume of a standard Figurtech benchtop instrument (320 × 284 × 300 mm). This footprint difference is the critical enabler for cabinet-mount integration: a standard instrument simply cannot fit inside a typical electrical cabinet.
Why LE?
- Designed for integration, not operation: No front panel, no knobs — all control is via the host system
- Smallest footprint in the Figurtech range: 40% smaller than any other series — the only option for cabinet mounting
- Full performance, compact body: −90 to 1200 kPa range and 0.1% FS accuracy — no capability compromise
- ATEX-ready: Certified for classified hazardous areas where conventional open instruments cannot be installed
- Same software ecosystem: LE uses the same test parameter format, OK/NG logic, and data protocol as all other Figurtech series — no separate integration work needed if the line already uses LY or LD instruments
